Vice President, Market Leadership Services
What do you get when you combine an education policy expert, experienced communications professional, and online development guru? Two words: Valerie Greenhill. As Vice President of market leadership services for e-Luminate Group, Valerie is responsible for refining the firm's strategy and business development for market leadership services including vision and white papers; CEO visibility; executive mentoring; 21st century skill services; product positioning and messaging; and strategic alliances. For the past four years she has led strategic content work for the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, most recently having managed the review of Wisconsin's state standards revisions in mathematics and English Language Arts. Greenhill also spearheaded the research and development team that launched Route 21 in November 2007, the Partnership's Web 2.0-enhanced resource dedicated to 21st century skills. Additionally, Valerie leads our work with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to bring 21st century skills to museums and libraries nation-wide. She also supervises market strategy and messaging deliverables for e-Luminate Group clients Learning Point Associates and LearningStation. Her work includes authoring white papers; in 2006, Valerie piloted the research and writing effort for Education Networks of America's highly regarded white paper Networked for Learning: Enabling 21st Century Student Success. The paper, launched at NECC 2006, outlines the state of networked education and the challenges and solutions facing educators and students in today's global economy. Valerie earned an M.Ed in educational media and computers from Arizona State University, and a master's in English from the University of Arizona. She received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College. Valerie is active in her community, having served as communications director for Mayor Walkup's three successful mayoral campaigns; she also serves on the executive board of the Tucson Children's Museum. Valerie is an avid golfer and English premier league fan. She grew up in rural Oklahoma but has called Tucson home since 1993 (where she has to keep her loyalty to Bob Stoops and OU football under wraps). She lives with her husband, two daughters and Tibetan Terrier.
